UPDATE 04/17/2020:

The new April 17th guidance deems real estate and associated services (such as title searches, appraisals, and home inspections), as low- or no-contact professional services and allows them to resume limited operations effective April 20th. Professionals must limit interactions to no more than 2 people (the professional and a client). Real estate open houses shall not occur, but scheduled property showings where no more than 2 people are present may occur.

UPDATE 04/16/2020:

If one must travel more than ten miles from one’s home to perform a professional function, the function is considered “in-person” and, therefore, not permitted. This requirement applies to real estate brokers and salespeople, real estate appraisers and home inspectors.

UPDATE 03/25/2020:
Based upon the most recent order from Governor Scott: Until further information states otherwise, all in-person public contact shall cease for the duration of this order to include showings, open houses, and other meetings with clients, customers and members of the public. Real estate agents may still have remote, non-face-to-face interactions with clients, customers, and members of the public (including by phone, email, video-conferencing, etc.).

Blue Spruce Realty is still working, remotely and we are here for you. We are using technology to get around the ban on in-person activities. Reach out to us directly with your questions and to stay informed. We are here, as always, to be a resource for you – ti’s what we do!

Be informed, be safe and stay in touch.
(03/19/2020) To all of our Clients, Customers, Friends and Neighbors: The Corona virus has been, and will be for some time, impact our lives in ways that we are all struggling to grasp.

Following CDC guidelines, as well as guidance from our National and State level Realtor Associations, we are changing how we function as a business…but we are still here, being a resource for your real estate related needs and questions.

At this point, our physical office location is closed but we are still running full time as a real estate agency and all of our agents are available to respond to your real estate questions and needs.

Most of our business can be handled remotely and contract documents can be handled electronically, including legal signatures. At this point, we expect to see little to no impact to transactions underway.

In terms of customer and client interactions, we are adopting a policy, for the moment, of limiting that to remote interactions only – no face to face contact, following the guidance from authorities.

In terms of showings of properties, for health and safety reasons for all involved, we are suspending showing appointments for seven days, until March 25th, 2020. At that point, we will re-assess.

We apologize for the inconvenience this poses but there is no lack of clarity to the need for these extraordinary measures to be undertaken.

We expect that a lot of people will have a lot of questions in this time of uncertainty and rapid change. We look forward to having conversations with any and all about the real estate market in general, as well as the impacts from the corona virus. We will continue to stay on top of these changes and will post regular updates here of relevant information.

We take comfort in Vermont’s strong tradition of community and looking out for each other in times that challenge us individually and collectively. We are all in this together and, together, we will get through this.

Be informed, be prepared, be safe and be empathetic to your neighbors.

As always, feel free to reach out to us directly to us as your local real estate resource – it’s what we do!

Respectfully,

the Blue Spruce Realty family
